Geri’s Resource Center came into existence because I witnessed a person struggling with a reading disability and couldn’t fill out the job application correctly. I witnessed the despair on their face and knew I had to do something to help them at that moment.

After we put our heads together that person was able to fill out the application, get a job, provide for their family and thrive better in their community. The client who I helped told someone else who helped them. I realized at that moment how many more people were having the same problem. I started questioning how many more people were not able to get that one on one help they needed in our area. At that moment Geri’s Resource Center came into existence.

In today’s fast-changing business world, companies and their employees must remain competitive, learn new skills, refine existing procedures to increase productivity and drive business results. Geri’s Resource Center has assisted with more than 50 displaced workers, veterans, and low-income families. We are a unique organization because we have volunteers who speak and write fluently in Spanish, African, and Mandarin. In addition, our services are not based off quotas but available to anyone in need regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, culture and social status. We currently have 20 computers, 1-enhanced vision television for the vision impaired-(CCTV), computer programs and resources to help guide you in the right direction.
